There have been several incidents in the state of Illinois where caregivers and family members of the elderly have been misappropriating the funds of the elderly and failing to pay the nursing home facility for their care. State Representative Tom Demmer (R-Dixon) passed legislation Thursday which will ensure that type of activity falls under a criminal penalty.
